Homemade Protein Shake / Smoothie
The best time to have a protein shake is right after working out. Moreover, one really feels famished after sweating out so much and the body muscles need some protein to rebuild.
Not always Protein Shakes are delicious to have. What if there’s a smoothie in the form of a Protein Shake? Sounds yummy right? All that is needed is 10 minutes and a few ingredients.
1 cup strawberries
1-2 egg yolks
1 cup coconut milk
1 spoon peanut butter
1-2 tablespoons coconut oil
1 tablespoon flax seed oil or just the flax seeds
1 date, 1 walnut
Pinch of sea salt
Add strawberries, coconut milk, and chopped walnut & date to a blender. Blend it well and then add peanut butter along with coconut oil, flax seeds, sea salt and egg yolks. Blend it again until it has become smooth enough to be called a smoothie !! Pour the mixture into the glass and tadaaa…a healthy smoothie/protein shake is ready.
Note: Can also add any probiotic or vitamin capsules into the blender. However, make sure to consult with a trainer or a doctor/nutritionist before doing that.
