Khichdi A Healthy Veg Recipe With Nutrition | Azafran Wellbeing

It’s a known fact that khichdi is packed with nutrition – Carbohydrates, Proteins, Dietary fibre, Vitamin C, Calcium, Magnesium, Phosphorus and Potassium. one of the easiest and yummiest dish one can make. It’s about mixing all the vegetables with brown rice, lentils and ghee.


1 Cup Lentil

1 Cup Brown Rice

1/2 Chopped Cauliflower

1 Chopped Onion

5 Okras Cut Vertically

3/4 Cup Pea nuts

1 Vertically Chopped Carrot

1/2 Cup Green peas

1/2 Cup Beans

1 Cup Finely Chopped Palak leaves

2 Chopped Tomatoes

1 Cup Fenugreek leaves

1 Cup Coriander and Mint leaves

5 Green chillies

5 Curry leaves

8 cloves of Garlic

Salt – add to taste

7 cups of Water



  1. Heat the cooker, add oil, then add curry leaves and onions. Let it cook until the onions are golden brown.
  2. Then add garlic, chillies. Then add all the vegetables and let it half cook.
  3. Add all the needed spices, brown rice and lentils.
  4. Close the lid of the cooker.
  5. After 3 whistles, turn it off, the Healthy Veg. Khichdi is ready!
