A popular street style pulav from Mumbai made with long grain rice, vegetables and pav bhaji masala. Enriched with our Cold pressed sunflower oil of course. Easy to prepare and a quick fix; hearty meal. Tastes just great by itself, but it’s spicy, so serve with raita.

500 G Cooked and cooled basmati rice
200 G Tomatoes; chopped
100 G Green peas
30 ml Azafran Cold pressed Sunflower oil
30 G Salted butter
5 G Shahi jeerea
3 Green chillies; chopped
1 Large onion; chopped
1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
1 Green capsicum medium sized; chopped
1 tsp Red chilli powder
1 tsp Pav bhaji masala
½ tsp Turmeric powder
20 G Cashew nuts
Salt as required
Coriander leaves for garnishing



Heat the Sunflower oil in a pan. Add the butter. Add shahi jeera, chopped green chillies and chopped onion. Saute till translucent.
Add the ginger-garlic paste. Sauté well.
Add the green capsicum, tomatoes, green peas and salt. Sauté for a few minutes, then cover and cook for 5 minutes till the veggies becomes tender.
Add the turmeric powder, red chilli powder and pav bhaji masala. Blend well to cook the masalas.
Add the basmati rice. Mix well with the veggies and masala.
Add cashew nuts and coriander. Cover and cook for 5 to 7 minutes.
Garnish with chopped coriander and serve hot with raita.
