Whiskey: Mixology Magic of Liquor
Whiskey: A classic assortment of aesthetically pleasing drinks to provide winter warmth and so much liquid merriment.
British Hot Toddy
A steamy concoction of whiskey, lemon juice, honey, cloves, and cinnamon. Perfect for the winter cold, and appetizing than those over the counter medicines. Add one teaspoon honey to a measure of whiskey, with two cloves, half cinnamon stick, and top off with hot water. Stir in just enough lemon juice to balance the sweetness of the honey. Skip the whiskey and add water while making it for your little ones.
An elegant blend of milk and liquor, a recipe that dates back to centuries. Add four tablespoons of dark rum to a cup of milk and one teaspoon powdered sugar in a cocktail shaker. Add cracked ice, blend well and serve in cocktail glass. Not just rum, any dark liquor like whiskey or brandy would do. Classy sleep time drink gets a spicy twist. Will definitely knock you off into a dream world!
Cranberry – Orange Wassail
Wassail gets its name from the old English term “waes hael”, meaning “be healthy”. Add one cup of cranberry juice, 1/2 cup orange juice, 1/2 cup pineapple juice, one teaspoon sugar, a slice lemon, and 1/2 inch cinnamon in a big pot and boil the mixture for five minutes. Ladle into cups, and top off with cherry for decoration. Also smells amazing!
In a glass of hot milk; add one tablespoon of cocoa mix and stir well. Garnish with whipped cream and chocolate sprinkles on top. Hang a peppermint candy on the edge of the mug and pass it on. While your guests fancy the look of their drink, the peppermint candy slowly dissolves releasing its flavour. A hot chocolate drink cannot be better than this. Decadent divulgence!
Classic Vodka Martini
An old-fashioned classic martini with a winning twist. In a cocktail shaker, add three teaspoons of lemon juice and three teaspoons olive juice along with 4 basil leaves. Fill half the shaker with ice, add two tablespoons Citrus Vodka and shake for 30 seconds. Strain and serve chilled in a martini glass. Smell the vodka while swirling the glass, appreciate the aroma, sip it and savour its taste!
